Good day readers! I am Naomi Maetel M. Ibe, the Head and Editor In Chief of GEMS DUCES. I have been entering journalism competitions ever since and have won District, Division, and Regional Championships, being able to experience National Journalism. Getting this role does not make me neither lucky nor unlucky. Because I know that making it this far (as a student) requires both hard-work and perseverance, having the determination to keep on going for what you aim to grasp and achieve. I thank GEMS Cambridge International Private School and Miss Shahana Salman for giving us a chance to speak our voices, and to show our skills independently. GEMS DUCES is a team fully led by students who aims to hone and develop their leadership and literacy skills. Through that, we have our aim to be the best in the field of extracurriculars, improving our skills to enter world class in terms of academical excellence.
